Westwell E-Truck S2: Leading the New Revolution in Port Logistics
At a critical juncture where AI is reshaping the global logistics landscape, TOC Europe 2025 (European Container Supply Chain Exhibition) grandly opened from June 17th to 19th, 2025, at the Ahoy Exhibition Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With a history of over 40 years, this industry event has become a top-tier exchange platform for global port decision-makers, technical experts, and solution providers. Westwell Technology debuted at Booth C40 in Hall 1 under the theme “AI YOUR LOGISTICS,” presenting the next-generation E-Truck S2 intelligent heavy-duty truck—a disruptive “intelligence + new energy” solution for the global logistics industry.
TOC Europe 2025: The Global Stage for Logistics Innovation
As a vane in Europe's container logistics sector, TOC Europe attracts industry elites from over 50 countries annually. The 2025 exhibition centers on the core theme of “Synergistic Development of Sustainability and Intelligence,” focusing on port automation, green energy applications, and supply chain digital transformation.
Notably, an E-Truck S2 live experience area is set up outside the exhibition—at the main entrance of Ahoy Rotterdam, visitors can closely film the dynamic demonstration of this intelligent heavy-duty truck.
Global Premiere of E-Truck S2: Redefining the Benchmark for Intelligent Heavy-Duty Trucks
Making its overseas debut, the E-Truck S2 redefines industry cognition with its positioning as an “upgradable driverless intelligent connected new energy heavy-duty truck.”
With sleek new styling and intelligent capabilities, it's more than just an electric truck—it's a smart logistics partner. Utilizing multimodal AI algorithms, it dynamically optimizes performance, energy consumption, and component lifespan. With enhanced payload capacity and reliability, it's driving the future of green logistics from start to finish.
Equipped with a 282kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, it achieves a 150-kilometer range on a full charge. Dual-gun fast charging technology supports charging from 20% to 80% in 36 minutes, with a comprehensive energy consumption as low as 1.7kWh/km. In safety design, the body uses a cage structure made of ≥80% high-strength steel. The V-type thrust rod increases rollover stability by 25%, and the full-view enhancement system reduces blind spots by 30% through multi-camera fusion, fully meeting the safety operation requirements of complex port conditions.
Different from traditional heavy-duty trucks, the E-Truck S2 builds a “growable” intelligent architecture based on steer-by-wire chassis technology. By adding lidar, domain controllers, and 5G communication modules, the vehicle can achieve full-life-cycle upgrades from L2 assisted driving to L4 fully driverless operation. This progressive technical path not only meets customers' initial needs for cost reduction and efficiency improvement but also reserves technical interfaces for future unmanned transformation. Multi-modal AI algorithms analyze scenario conditions, driving behavior, and vehicle status in real time, dynamically optimizing motor output power, braking energy recovery efficiency, and component wear prediction to extend the lifespan of key components.
Heavy-Duty Twin Matrix: Implementing Full-Scenario Logistics Solutions
The Q-Truck driverless heavy-duty truck, exhibited alongside the E-Truck S2, has achieved commercial deployment in 28 countries worldwide. The fourth-generation Q-Truck supports dual-mode energy replenishment: 5-minute unmanned battery swapping and 1.5-hour fast charging. Paired with the WellFMS intelligent scheduling system, it enables end-to-end driverless container transportation in ports. At the Port of Felixstowe in the UK, the Q-Truck fleet has achieved 24-hour continuous operation; The initial operation of the Abu Dhabi Wharf in the Middle East has achieved remarkable results.
Full-Link Value of “Intelligence + New Energy”
Westwell Technology 打通 s the entire port logistics chain through a trinity solution of “heavy-duty truck product matrix + AI scheduling system + green energy management.” The E-Truck S2 focuses on intelligent upgrades for manned driving in closed/semi-closed scenarios, while the Q-Truck focuses on fully driverless operations, forming a complementary pattern of “progressive transformation + leapfrog upgrading.” Combined with the PowerOnair intelligent energy service platform, customers can achieve intelligent scheduling of charging/battery swapping networks, reducing investment costs in energy infrastructure.
From Technical Output to Ecological Leadership: Westwell's Global Practices
Westwell's intelligent logistics solutions have formed a closed-loop capability of “technology-scenario-ecology.” Looking back at Westwell's performance in previous TOC exhibitions, it has also achieved remarkable results. In past participations, Westwell highlighted smart port application cases, and the overseas commercial operation achievements of its self-developed Q-Truck in driverless technology attracted widespread attention. Many industry users showed strong interest in the successful applications of Q-Truck at the Laem Chabang Port in Thailand, COSCO Shipping's Khalifa Port Phase II in Abu Dhabi, etc. This solution—requiring no restricted zones, physical barriers, or vessel type distinctions—provides a feasible path for the rapid intelligent upgrading of numerous traditional operational container terminals worldwide. The addition of E-Truck S2 will undoubtedly further enrich Westwell's innovative displays at TOC, bringing more surprises to the industry.
